Well, keep in mind, it's God setting the standards, not you. Who knows, maybe you aren't so bad. You might even be a really, really nice person--well, compared to that person over there. But God isn't judging you against someone else, he's looking at the rebellion against him that lies in our own hearts. So you and I, the really nice person, the world-class jerk, and the murderer on death row...God says we all have the same basic problem.

There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
